Authentix Names Bernard C. Bailey Chairman and CEO

Authentix, the global leaders in authentication, today announced that its board of directors has appointed Bernard C. Bailey as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Bailey, a 30-year veteran of the security and high tech industries, has served on the Authentix board of directors since 2011. He succeeds David Moxam, who served as Chairman and CEO for Authentix since 2002.

Mr. Bailey served as President and CEO of Viisage Technology, Inc., a provider of advanced technology identity solutions. During his four years of leadership, Viisage's market capitalization grew from $60 million to $1 billion. In that period the company executed nine acquisitions, culminating in the formation of L-1 Identity Solutions. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer for Art Technology Group (ATG), an e-commerce software provider, and worked for 17 years at IBM where he held executive roles that contributed to the development of IBM Global Service's systems integration and consulting business lines.
